When we are not peaceful, we are stressed, and even though we may not realize it we can impact others in that state. Realizing that we are not peaceful is the key. When we are stressed we breathe more quickly and we tend to hold our breath. We do not fully inflate our lungs and so activate our sympathetic nervous system, and we are completely unaware of doing so.

We cannot function efficiently under this operating system. This system was designed to rescue us from danger and activates high levels of cortisol and also adrenaline. With these coursing through our veins we are unable to respond naturally to anything around us. We are constantly dodging bullets and are unable to relax. That is what it feels like to us – a constant battle, and no relief.

The breathing is a sign, so watch for it–in yourself, and in your loved ones.

Breathe slowly and deeply always, and so defeat stress.

Practice makes perfect.

God bless you all. Stay strong.
